The admissions policy is designed to determine whether KCA DeSoto is the best fit for your student. Your child is not guaranteed admission. Incomplete applications are not accepted. Annual Physician's statements are independent of the application.

Children entering Kindergarten must turn five on or before September 1 of that year.

Students entering 1st grade must turn six on or before September 1.

Evaluation Process

Students in grades K – 12 seeking admission are evaluated based on the following:

  • Aptitude Test Results
  • Previous Achievement Test Results
  • Previous Academic Performance
  • Student/Parent Interview
  • Student Essays (required for middle school students)
  • Principal/Teacher Recommendations

Health and Immunization

All immunization records must be up-to-date and submitted along with the completed application before a student can begin at KCA DeSoto. Our school nurse reviews immunization records before admittance into the academy. All discrepancies must be cleared before a student can be admitted.
